Nature loss is spurring governments worldwide to introduce policies and frameworks impacting investment portfolios, particularly where nature interrelates with climate change.
A lack of reliable, consistent, and comparable data presents a challenging task for investors when integrating nature-related factors into their decision-making process.
Similar to climate, nature-related risks and opportunities have been more established in the context of equity markets. However, due to investors’ heavy reliance on bonds in their investment portfolios, it is also critical to assess nature-related exposures in income strategies.
The complexities of the bond market relative to equities need to be considered.
