... Qualitative Impact Assessment Protocol (QuIP) – is an impact assessment based on contribution analysis. This methodology aims to evaluate and understand the qualitative effects of a project.

It includes process of gathering data such as interviews, observations, and case studies to evaluate the outcomes, benefits and consequences of the project being evaluated. It helps to measure the non-numerical aspects of impact, such as attitudes, perceptions, changes in behaviour and quality of life.

The main objective of QuIP is to generate credible evidence of the most important drivers of change and provide a clear understanding of the qualitative impacts to improve future interventions.
