Big Issue Invest have been inspired by the way social enterprises and charities across the UK have responded to the unprecedented challenges faced by their communities while overcoming challenges within their organisations. Big Issue Invest are proud of their team who have worked tirelessly in supporting their investees to keep the lights on, adapt to new operating environments and to continue to deliver and grow the impact to their customers.
Big Issue Invest was proud to be part of two major sector responses to the pandemic; Social Enterprise Support Fund (SESF) and the Resilience and Recovery Loan Fund. They issued 118 grants worth £3.2 million as part of the SESF thanks to the support of the National Lottery Community Fund. They successfully partnered with Social Investment Business to contribute to £25 million of lending as part of their CBILS backed RRLF. On top of this, they continued to support over 180 organisations with £39.7 million of investment.
