Mentions of climate change in the media have reached one of the highest peaks in the past 10 years. Thanks to teen activist Greta Thunberg and her school strikes, Extinction Rebellion protests, and David Attenborough’s world-famous documentaries, public interest in the issue is undeniable. After prime minister Theresa May’s net zero carbon emission announcement, recent extreme weather events and large-scale protests, we have seen clear evidence of what can happen in a 12-month period. However, WHEB says it is naive to think things will be plain sailing from here.
