By October 2019, UK pension scheme trustees will have to update their Statement of Investment Principles to state their policy on financially material environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors, including climate change. Schroders believe that now is the right time for Trustees to revisit their default approach for DC members and to incorporate ESG factors, not just climate change, into the management of assets.
