This System & Governance Change Community Interest Group (CIG), will be delivered in partnership with our Ecosystem Theme Supporter, Social Value International. Join us for a meeting that aims to assist asset owners and their advisers in moving from systems thinking to systems change.

This meeting will explore why systems thinking is essential for good governance and how it can be applied in practice using real-world approaches, such as the Impact Investing Principles for Pensions. We will examine how to set impact priorities aligned to systemic risks, future retirement outcomes and organisational purpose; how to align advisers, managers and suppliers; and how capital allocation, stewardship, engagement and policy collaboration can drive change. We will also discuss impact reporting as a tool for advocacy.

Attendees will have an opportunity to take part in breakout discussions, where we invite participants to share the barriers to addressing systemic risks; explore why dominant narratives on climate, biodiversity and inequality have failed to drive sufficient investor action; and identify how Pensions for Purpose can help organisations to embed systems thinking and deliver meaningful change.

Who should attend?

This event is open to asset owners such as pension fund trustees and in-house executives, and independent investment advisers.
