This invitation was extended to chief investment officers and heads of ESG at insurance firms and hosted at Robeco's Fenchurch Street offices in London.
Participants at this sold-out event, joined the cio investment club, in partnership with Pensions for Purpose and Robeco, to learn about the latest developments in ESG, sustainable and impact investing. As climate change, biodiversity loss and social inequality begin to affect business and risk, these considerations are becoming increasingly relevant for insurance companies.
Pensions For Purpose already has a community of 400 organisations and 1,200 individuals, including a number within the insurance sector. They share best practices and promote leading insights across their memberships. Charlotte O’Leary, Chief Executive of Pensions for Purpose, provided a fascinating overview of their work with pension funds, asset managers and advisers who are leading the way.
The meeting was also joined by Aileen Mathieson, Group CIO at Aspen Insurance Group, who shared her experience of sustainable investing from an insurance company perspective, and Irshaad Ahmad, Head of Europe, Africa & North American Distribution at Robeco, who shared his views on how their insurance clients are considering impact investing.
