Pensions for Purpose and Schroders were delighted to launch a comprehensive introductory training session on impact investing for any asset owner considering one or more of the following questions:
To address these questions and more, this session was tailored for pension fund officers, investment committee members and trustees.
Summary
This training event provided the core knowledge elements to empower asset owners (trustees and pension committee members) to collaborate with their asset managers and investment consultants to consider or add new impact investing opportunities to their funds. It considered a holistic approach to impact from fiduciary duty to setting objectives and examples of impact frameworks and metrics.
Audience members got a practical experience on implementing an impact framework, including hearing from South Yorkshire Pensions Authority (with over £10bn in assets under management) who have successfully put an impact framework in place, as well as how the Impact Investing Principles for Pensions can help on this journey.
On 19 May we built on those learnings with a deeper dive into impact.
