During the session, Alex Brierley, Co-Head of Octopus Energy Generation provided an update on what’s been going on in European energy markets and how Octopus is approaching the energy transition.

This was followed by a review of 2022 so far; with the backdrop of COVID recovery, inflation, war and an energy crisis, how has renewable energy performed and has it been in line with expectations?

Looking into the future, utility scale wind and solar assets will form the backbone of global energy markets – where next in the race for net zero?

The presentation was followed by a roundtable discussion with Q&A and shared insights, moderated by Karen Shackleton of Pensions for Purpose.

Who was this event for?

This event was opened to asset owners such as pension fund trustees, in-house executives and independent advisers, professional trustees, government representatives and consultants
