Strong demand for food has been driven by population growth, changing diets, and rising incomes. After a brief introduction from Karen Shackleton, Founder of Pensions for Purpose, Westchester’s Head of Portfolio Management, Skye Macpherson, gave an introduction into how farmland investments, through innovation and improved productivity, can help to meet global demand for food and produce sustainable income for institutional investors over the long term. The presentation was followed by a 30-minute discussion among attendees which allowed for questions and reflections.
