This was our second Paris Alignment Forum training session, covering climate science and its relationship with investment, and a repeat of our training session on 26 April 2021 which was oversubscribed.

This 1½ hour interactive training was delivered by Professor Mark Shackleton, Accounting and Finance, Lancaster University and Company Secretary, Pensions for Purpose.

Objective: to give delegates a basic understanding of climate science and how this is influencing investment thinking.

Outcome: pension funds and advisers will have a strategic understanding of the role and importance of climate science in their investment portfolios

Suitable for: anyone interested in gaining a basic understanding of climate science and the significant role this has on pension fund investments. No prior knowledge of science required – it was designed to be an entry level course.
