We are delighted to invite you to our second Paris Alignment Forum training session, covering climate science and its relationship with investment. This is a repeat of our training session on 26 April 2021 which was oversubscribed.

This 1½ hour interactive training will be delivered by Professor Mark Shackleton, Accounting and Finance, Lancaster University and Company Secretary, Pensions for Purpose.

Time and Date: 9.30am BST Monday 24 May 2021. This event is virtual, and you can register to attend here.

Objective: to give delegates a basic understanding of climate science and how this is influencing investment thinking.

Outcome: pension funds and advisers will have a strategic understanding of the role and importance of climate science in their investment portfolios

Suitable for: anyone interested in gaining a basic understanding of climate science and the significant role this has on pension fund investments. No prior knowledge of science is required – this is designed to be an entry level course.

Numbers: the course will be limited to a maximum of 15 Paris Alignment Forum members, with priority given to asset owners. This is to allow time for each delegate to ask questions or share insights. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. If there is excess demand, we may consider repeating this session in June.
