We were delighted to host our first Paris Alignment Forum training session, covering climate science and its relationship with investment.

This 1½ hour interactive training was delivered by Professor Mark Shackleton, Accounting and Finance, Lancaster University and Company Secretary, Pensions for Purpose.

Objective: to give delegates a basic understanding of climate science and how this is influencing investment thinking.

Outcome: pension funds and advisers will have a strategic understanding of the role and importance of climate science in their investment portfolios

Suitable for: anyone interested in gaining a basic understanding of climate science and the significant role this has on pension fund investments. No prior knowledge of science is required – this is designed to be an entry level course.

Numbers: the course was limited to a maximum of 15 Paris Alignment Forum members, with priority given to asset owners. This allowed w time for each delegate to ask questions or share insights. Due to excess demand will be repeating this session at 9.30am on 24 May 2021.
