... Karen Shackleton, founder of Pensions for Purpose presented her five-step climate action plan for pension funds looking to move to a sustainable investment approach. Pensions for Purpose has worked with a number of pension funds on their climate action strategy and Karen discussed some of the challenges and barriers, and ways in which these may be overcome.

Karen was joined by Richard Butcher, Chair of the PLSA. The PLSA have recently published a research paper “A changing climate - How pension funds can invest for the future” and Richard presented some of the key recommendations from this report.

These short presentations were followed by a moderated roundtable discussion.
