At this special event, Georg Elsaesser and Cathrine de Coninck-Lopez shared practical insights on how Invesco approached the challenge of creating a low-carbon equity portfolio for one of their UK pension clients with the aim of reducing overall carbon emissions.

After an introduction by Karen Shackleton of Pensions for Purpose, the Invesco team outlined how they developed their innovative carbon-managed portfolio which has improved the portfolio’s ESG profile, significantly lowered Scope 1 and 2 emission intensities and provided added resilience against risks arising from climate change. Georg and Cathrine also answered qeustions on responsible investing and how pension portfolios can adapt to reduce the threat of global warming.
