This roundtable provided an important opportunity for investment consultants and fiduciary managers to share their views and feedback on a set of good governance principles for impact investing.

The world is changing, with new challenges for people and the planet. Pensions are vulnerable to these challenges, but they also have the power to contribute to solutions to the most pressing environmental and social problems we face. But how? Impact investing is an investment approach which has the intention to generate a positive social and environmental outcome alongside a financial return.

The Impact Investing Institute in partnership with Pensions for Purpose has developed five guiding principles for pension trustees that give an accessible, practical insight into the opportunity presented by impact investing and the concrete steps trustees can take to pursue an impact investing strategy.

As our engagement process is coming to a close, we are now reaching out to pension funds, investment consultants and managers to commit to the Principles as early adopters. If you would be interested in learning more, please contact Bella Landymore or Charlotte O'Leary at [email protected].
