How often do you get the opportunity to align your personal and professional ambitions, to actively influence and be empowered to do so? This is exactly how I feel about my role within the Pensions for Purpose team. I have been able to bring my knowledge and experience together with creative, lateral thinking to innovate and encourage the embedding of people and planet in the way we work and the way we deliver thought leadership to the pension fund industry.
To resolve systemic risks, we need to embrace new models for working and thinking in what is fast-becoming a knowledge economy. We must give people the tools to be financially independent; long-term saving and pensions are fundamental to this pursuit and we can only get there with education – the transfer of knowledge from one part of society to others.
The Pensions for Purpose culture and working environment also recognises me as a mother, a fitness lover and Hyrox competitor. All of these aspects of my life feed into and enhance my ability to do my role, it makes me more well-rounded and grounded. This level of openness and inclusivity promotes cognitive diversity and allows all of us to be ourselves. I will always foster this authenticity and help empower others to do the same.
